How to burn an ISO image file to CD using free program IMG Burn

This page describes how to burn an ISO image file to CD using the free program IMG Burn. IMG Burn is a full-featured freeware program for creating / burning ISOs and burning many other image types to writable media. In the computer lab, you will find it handy to burn ISOs to make bootable CD’s for data rescue or cloning purposes.

Getting Started

Download and install IMG Burn.

  1. Right click on your iso file. In this example I am using an ISO image of BART’s PE rescue CD.

    2. Right click on the iso image file you want to burn to CD

  2. Choose the CD burner to use, set the burn speed, review other options and settings, CLICK the WRITE icon.

    3. Choose burner, speed and review other settings. Click Write
