Students create a PowerPoint about an animal's unique features and adaptations.
Students choose an animal with unique qualities that they would like to learn more about. Students research on the internet to learn more about the animal. Students take notes about what makes this animal special. Students create a 5 slide PowerPoint presentation with 3 reasons their animal is amazing. Students use titles, text and images to create a visually appealing and informative presentation.
Grade 3 and up
Slide 1 – Title Slide
Students add a title called “Amazing Animals” and add one or more pictures of their chosen animals. Students add their name.
Slide 2 – Amazing for 3 Reasons
Students add a title called The ____________ is amazing for 3 reasons and add a picture of their animal. Students write 3 reasons why this animal is unique (such as special adaptations it has).
Slide 3 – First Reason it is Amazing
Students add a title with the first reason their animal is amazing and add a picture of their animal. Students write 2 – 3 facts to support their first reason.
Slide 4 – Second Reason it is Amazing
Students add a title with the second reason their animal is amazing and add a picture of their animal. Students write 2 – 3 facts to support their second reason.
Slide 5 – Third Reason it is Amazing
Students add a title with the third reason their animal is amazing and add a picture of their animal. Students write 2 – 3 facts to support their third reason.
